SC Gallery supports works that include all types of cooperation (national and international ones), multidisciplinarity, interactivity and innovation.
Priority will be given to younger authors who can apply to the already existing concept – They are coming… (solo exhibition that includes cooperation with younger colleagues – curators). We also encourage works that activate other premises of the Student Centre:
• ITD Coffee bar
• PU Gallery (cinema lobby)
• Kiosk Gallery (east entrance)
• and all the other premises within the SC
Works in all art techniques and mediums can be applied (painting, sculpture, graphic, photography, installation, video, performance, ambient, spatial interventions, new media, happening…) and curatorial concepts. Artists and/or curators are expected to be prepared to give a sort of public talk about their work or the topic relevant for their work (artist talk, exhibition guidance, lecture/presentation etc.)
The application for the competition should contain:
• first name, last name, address, contact telephone number and an e-mail address
• curriculum vitae
• description of the project
• technical specifications of the project (dimensions, medium, necessary technical equipment)
• following material (photographs, digital documentation, audio, video)
• information on possible application of the same project / work for some other exhibition space!
(solely for the purposes of mutual coordination of the program and its financing)
Applications can be sent by e-mail to galerija@sczg.hr (specifying – for SC Gallery competition), or to the address Galerija SC, Savska 25, 10 000 Zagreb, or can be delivered personally in the Gallery every workday from 12 pm to 3 pm, or by an arrangement made by telephone.
Received documentation can be picked up after the competition is over until the end of the year 2009. After that date the gallery does not take responsibility for applied documentation.
Incomplete and late applications will not be taken into consideration.
